Anyone who competes in figure can appreciate the value of a good suit. Even more, appreciate the value of knowing who’s making it will come through for you when you need it the most. If you compete you have enough to worry about with diet and contest prep. So not to have to worry about a suit you don’t have or one that doesn’t fit properly, would be much easier. These are the concerns only competitors can know and appreciate. These concerns were the driving force behind “Suits by Sassy”.
“Suits by Sassy”, is a figure family affair. Owned and operated by Sandy Barber (mom) and Kristin Barber (daughter), both have been competing and involved in fitness many years. As a result, both have experienced the ups and downs of competition including that suit that doesn’t fit right or doesn’t fit at all. These experiences and not to mention, Sandy’s 30 plus years experience in sewing her own clothes, inspired the creation of a suit company for competitors by competitors. “It’s great to relate.” Says Sandy. “Competitors know when they talk with us they are being heard because we are in their shoes and know what they are going through.” |

Sandy and Kristin provide uncompromised service and individual attention to every competitor. Each suit is hand sewn to the specific body type, needs and budgets of their customers. “Competing can be expensive and eating healthy is expensive enough. So we provide suits that can accommodate any budget without sacrificing the quality every competitor wants to reflect on stage.” Says Kristin.
Having suit problems a few days before a show, even last minute? Most competitors have been there before and what a nightmare! Sandy and Kristin most likely can help you out. They always have a few extra suits on hand and in most cases can accommodate any adjustments for that proper fit. “We don’t work 9 to 5.” Says Sandy. “We know problems often arise at odd times. So as long as we are up, we are available and are always willing to try and solve any problem with suits.”
